There are two pieces of news that I have seen recently that have amazed and saddened me.
The first is the Spanish basketball teams' photos with all the players pulling back their eyes to make "Chinese Eyes". You can read more about it at Anti-Racist Parent.
The other was this article on CNN about corporal punishment. I had no idea it was still allowed anywhere in the United States in the public school system.

I too was horrified when I saw that photo of the Spanish team, but even more disgusted when they acted like it was your own fault if you were offended. Hard to believe that kind of garbage would happen from supposedly grown men.
